The Vespa RED edition will be added to the current portfolio of Vespa scooters in India
Piaggio has a strong presence in India with its premium Vespa scooter range. Now, under its partnership with RED, the company is about to bring the Vespa RED edition scooter in India. It looks marvellous, as almost every Italian product does. Before talking about the looks of the scooter, let’s have a glimpse on what actually is RED.
RED is an organisation which helps in funding and treating the people suffering from various fatal diseases such AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria. Till now, RED has collected over $450 million for Global Funds and has a tie up with many companies who are among the top organisations worldwide. 50 percent of the money generated by this partnership by selling the RED branded products go to Global Funds which has assisted around 70 million people worldwide to fight these deadly diseases.
The Vespa RED edition, Vespa 946 – RED to be precise, is also one of such examples of products which contribute to funding. From every model which is sold, $150 is reserved as a part which goes for Global Fund. This has helped the company in gathering a huge amount to treat a plethora of people in various parts of the world.
The scooter in question is the standard Vespa 946 which carries a 125cc engine but comes with a unique Red cosmetics. The body panels are shrouded in dazzling Red colour along with the seat. Various parts are chiselled in the way to give it a completely elegant and unconventional look, especially the rear end which ends in a pointed and upward inclined shape.
The Piaggio Vespa is available with two engine options in India – 150cc and 125cc which are distributed in variants including VXL and SXL, common for both. The 125cc model has an additional standard version and the other with 150cc engine comes with an extra, more premium Elegante edition. The Vespa RED edition will be available as an added product in the scooter’s portfolio.
