Contrary to the Hero MotoCorp’ degrading sales, TVS Motors scooter sales rose by 35.51 percent in the aforementioned month.
Honda has been on top position in scooter sales in India for a while with its highly reliable Activa thwarting all the competitors in the segment. Meanwhile, a scuffle has been going on for the second position between Hero MotoCorp and TVS Motors. Now, seems like the latter has succeeded to chop down Hero MotoCorp in the duration of April-June this year.
TVS Motors scooter sales touched the figure of 2,49,077 becoming the second largest scooter seller of the Indian 2-wheeler market. Whereas, Hero MotoCorp sold 2,09,790 units in the time span. With the increase of 35.51 percent during April-June, TVS Motors pushed itself from third to second position overtaking Hero which saw a decrease of 0.51 percent.
The hike in TVS Motors scooter sales can be attributed to its efforts of consistently improvising the range of products. As per the statement given by TVS Vice President, the company has recently introduced new shades of the TVS Wego and TVS Jupiter. The TVS Scooty Zest and Scooty Pep+ have also received new colour options which made the company’s scooter lineup more exciting for youngsters.
Although Honda Activa strongly stands as the leader in the moped market in India, TVS also offers a wide range of alluring scooter with funky and cool shades along with reliable features.
TVS Motors scooter sales may rise further, stay tuned for more updates.
