The world premiere of the launch of the TVS Apache RR310S is going on and everyone has set their eyes on the stage to admire its alluring looks. With its compact yet muscular attire, it is a tough competition to the best looking bikes in this niche.
The concept model of the TVS sportsbike was revealed at the 2016 Auto Expo with the name ‘Akula 310’ and since then, it had many anticipating it. Seen on the test runs several times before, the TVS Apache RR310S looks mean and lean. It gets a set of dual headlamps which integrate LED setup within them and the tail lamp is the twin, curvy smart-looking unit which comes with LED bulbs as well. A thing to like the most about the Apache RR310S is its vertical oblong instrument cluster which is fully-digital and reads ample of information. The overall design of the big Apache is profoundly sporty with chiselled fairing and sleeky contours which provide it with the quintessential race bike look.
The ergonomics of the TVS Apache RR310S are such that it could be called as a pretty versatile bike. It is usable for daily commutes, a certain distance of touring and, rumbling around the race track. For accomplishing all this, it puts on duty the 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid cooled, reversed engine. Coming to the cycle parts, the greatest contributors to the weight saving in the TVS Apache is the trellis frame with detachable rear subframe and aluminium die-cast swingarm. Wheels are shod with Michelin Pilot Street Radial tyres which are bit by 300mm four-piston calliper at the front and 240mm single piston floating calliper at the rear. Soaking the dump is the task allotted to the Kayaba USD forks at the front and monoshock at the rear.
The TVS Apache RR310S is available in two stonking shades including Racing Red and Sinister Black. The company will open bookings for the bike by this month deliveries are expected by early 2018. The 2.05 lakh price tag is variable depending on which state it is bought. Direct competitors of the motorcycle in India are the highly potent KTM RC 390, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Yamaha YZF R3.
