It is the flagship product from TVS Motors which shares its platform from the BMW G310R which will be manufacturer at TVS’ Hosur facilty.
TVS Motors has been enjoying great sales with its Apache moniker which is the only performance bike line up available with the company. After the pair of 160 and 180cc Apache being adopted by riders to a large extent, the company enhanced the options further by adding the Apache RTR 200. For quite a while now, we also have been anticipating a heavier capacity Apache which was largely known as Akula but officially it is expected to be called as TVS Apache RR310S.
After various spy images being viral on the internet, we have now got the official patented images of the motorcycle which shows it is highly similar to the test mules we have seen. SInce it is the first full faired motorcycle from the Hosur based manufacturer, the company couldn’t have missed out any bit to make it a beautiful motorcycle. Except for the engine and mechanical parts, which are shared by the BMW G310R, it is a pure sports tourer with sleek and mean design.
On the front, the TVS Apache RR310S has gobbled up twin headlamp unit inside the wide fairing. It gets a tall windscreen for good aerodynamics and wind protection along with the clip on handlebars and large mirrors. The fairing is nicely chiselled and covers the motor at its fullest with the trellis frame being visible to accentuate the looks. The tank boasts of a quintessential sports bike design and looks huge while the rear is similar to its naked counterpart the BMW G310R.
The instrument cluster is an unconventional unit with the vertical design and is expected to convey ample of information. Other cycle parts such as the USD front forks, rear monoshock and the disc brakes on both ends (optional ABS might be offered) will be same as the G310R. Also same is the 313cc, liquid-cooled, fuel injected engine which delivers 34 PS of power and 28 Nm of peak torque.
