The scooter is bestowed with modern features and comes with a pair of motors which are high on performance.
Indian two-wheeler market is swiftly moving towards the electric era and many new startups are expected to emerge for catering the niche. Currently, Twenty Two motors is one such startup which is almost ready to roll out and sell its efficient and highly modern electric scooter in the market. The company will be launching its smart electric scooter Flow at the Auto Expo 2018 which will be priced at just Rs. 60,000, half of its estimated price.
The reason it is called smart are the highly advanced features which are integrated into the moped along with the frugal and powerful pair of motors. Being compliant with the IOT, the Flow carries modern and crucial technologies such as GPS, GPRS, Gyroscope, Accelerometer and many others. On top of all that, it could be controlled from a distance with the help of a mobile application which allows the owner to control its various functions and troubleshoot problems.
Powering the scooter will be a pair of motors installed under the seat which will last for around 80 kilometers on a single charge. The motors assist the scooter to go faster than any other electric scooter in the market and it can touch the figures of about 60 kmph. Looking at all these attributes, the asking price of Flow appears to be immensely reasonable as its closest rival Ather energy is said to be launching its e-scooter for over Rs. 1 lakh, expected to come this year.
Twenty Two Motors was founded in August 2016 by Kharb and Vijay Chandrawat. Till now, the founders have been able to raise funds worth USD 1.6 million and, to accomplish its plan of rolling out 50,000 scooters, it will need about USD 150 million over 2.5 years. Twenty Two Motors is on its way to generating the required funds and when it does, we might be able to see many Flow scooters prowling around the city. The founders believe that the audience is needed to be educated about the electric scooters and for the same, it will be setting up 20 experience centers across 10 cities in India.
