The hefty mill churns out 46.3 BHP and 52 Nm
Pictures and gossips about the Royal Enfield’ upcoming bikes with bigger engines have taken over the internet. A huge number of audience is eagerly anticipating the new machines from the British bikemaker. Reports suggest that this EICMA will see RE unveiling two of its motorcycles. Among them, one has been confirmed to be the cafe racer Continental GT 650 which will be similar to the ongoing lower capacity motorcycle, at least from outside.
Under the sculpted tank, the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 will hold a 650cc parallel-twin engine which is capable of churning out 46.3 BHP of power at 7,100 RPM and 52 Nm of peak torque 4,000 RPM. The set up will work in unison with a 6-speed gearbox. To give it a more big bike feel, the company has also installed twin exhaust unit.
Royal Enfield already has a strong fan base in India while its Classic 350 topping the sales chart almost every month for a while now. Gong with that, if the company manages to price it lucratively, the motorcycle may seel like hot cakes. However, we expect the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 to come with all the bells and whistles to enhance its safety quotient and address the fault of the ongoing bikes.
Recently, a video has got viral on the internet which showed Bajaj Dominar 400 chasing the big RE on the Indian roads. After the image-tarnishing which Bajaj did against Royal Enfield in its advertisement, this video was eventually the best answer from the British bikemaker. The new Royal Enfield motorcycle is about to be unveiled at the EICMA and the launch may take place in the first quarter of 2018.
