The runner-up received prize amount of Rs. 1 lakh and both the winners get to showcase their models at the 2018 Auto Expo
In this era of personalization, customizing our pair of wheels have become a common culture, especially among the creative youth. Earlier there were limited two-wheelers which provided the room for customization and only a handful un-orthodox people would go on to do it. But now, several two-wheelers n the market have the aesthetics which can be enhanced when modified and one among these is the Honda Navi. With the same belief, Honda organized a competition dubbed as Hond Navi Customania which commenced in October 2017. The competition was for the customizers to show their talent on the quirky scooter Navi and the top three winners would win cash prizes and a chance to showcase their model at the Auto Expo 2018.
Reportedly, the Honda Navi Customania concluded on Sunday 28th January and till this day, the number of participants had already exceeded 10,000. The competition got its top winners at the end with both being felicitated with exciting prizes. The second position was bagged by Ashiq Joseph Thomas from Kottayam who received the cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh and the top spot was clench by Dhananjay Parihar from Indore who became a proud recipient of Rs. 2 lakh. Apart from getting the honour of being felicitated by the Honda president and CEO Minoru Kato, the models created by the winners will be showcased at the biennial event Auto Expo 2018.
The competition took place in stages of which the third stage consisted of selecting top two finalists from each of the 12 participating cities including Pune, Indore, Goa, Nagpur, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Lucknow, Mumbai, Ahmedabad and New Delhi. The selected pair of finalists from each city competed in the final round for the selection of winners at the end. Additionally, the Honda Navi Customnia also consisted of an online competition based on web and mobile app. Jyugaandh Veer Singh emerged as the winner of the web contest whereas Lalith Ankala won the mobile app-based competition.
