Spread across 3000 sq. feet, the first-of-its-kind store houses a customer lounge, display area and service section.
Harley-Davidson is a brand which resides in a corner of every motorcycle enthusiast in India and this is evident largely in metro cities where the brand has a strong foothold. But last few days has brought along slight disappointment to the company since it has seen dwindling sales in India. Owing to this, the company is now moving its attention towards the tier II and tier III cities. With the same thought, the company has set up the first Harley-Davidson concept store in Kolhapur which is the first of its kind in India.
This new store will be responsible for looking after all the sales and service activities in the city along with display and sales of Harley-Davidson merchandise. Covering the land of about 3000 sq. feet, the Harley-Davidson concept store has been designed quite compact to make it easy for the dealership owners to set it up of their own. The overall area of the store has been distributed among the customer lounge, area for product display and after-sales service section.
A while ago, Harley-Davidson had introduced a range of bikes with Milwaukee-eight engine along with the launch of the Street-Rod. Regardless of this the company experienced descending sales figures and now seems to have decided to do these little changes in its marketing strategy. The company official, in his statement, emphasised the importance of making these bikes more accessible to the potential customers of Tier II and III cities and said that this new store is the first step towards it.
