The championship was divided in two main categories, splitting each into two sub-categories.
This year’s Indian National Motorcycle Championship concluded its first round and Honda riders stood at the forefront on the ranking chart. Divided into two main categories which included National Championship and Honda One Make Championship, the event was majorly taken away by Honda riders.
Both the main categories were further divided into subcategories. Starting from the National Championship, its first subcategory was 165cc Supersport in which Rajiv S and Mathan Kuman bagged first and second position respectively in both the races held in this segment. The second subcategory was 165cc Pro-stock in which the motorcycles used are close to stock bikes and Mithun Kumar was ended as a leader in both the races. The second position was marked by B Aravind in race 1 and Soorya PM in race 2.
The second main category, Honda One Make Series, had three segments from which CBR250R open championship was conquered by Rajiv S winning both the races of this segment. The fight went on for the second position where Richard Topno stood 2nd in race 1 and Abhishek V in race 2. In the second subcategory, named as CBR 150R novice, two races of which were held, the first position was registered by Satya Narayana in both races. The second position was grabbed by Syed Nawaz in race 1 and Amala Jerald in race 2.
Phew! So many races. Oh, there was one more! This was especially for ladies which included race spec CBR150R and Rehana Syed stood first among the 8 competing women. Shruti N was the runner-up. In the coming days, more rounds are on their way and stay tuned to this space for more updates.
