Although spied. the tweaks on the 2018 Bajaj Avenger are not known yet.
Bajaj gave birth to the trend of economic cruiser motorcycling with the Avenger brand which was launched in India in 2005.Since then the motorcycle only saw a consistent uplift in its demands and the number of Avengers plying on the roads went on rising. In 2015, the motorcycle was split into three variants including 150 and 220 Street and 220 Cruise. For 2018, the Indian bikemaker is all set to bestow the motorcycle with a mild update which is confirmed by the test model spied in India covered in camouflage.
According to the images acquired, the 2018 Bajaj Avenger won’t get any major makeover as all the panels and body parts appear exactly identical to the ongoing bike. At most, Bajaj may give it graphical refreshment with new colours and decals. However, a few changes can be expected looking at the new motorcycles arriving in the market. It could get LED headlamps and tail lamps for better illumination while ABS might also be present for added safety. Bajaj may also go on to retune the engine for better performance.
The Bajaj Avenger 220 Street and Cruise are powered by 220cc single-cylinder, air cooled engine which develops 19 PS of power and 17.5 Nm of torque. On the other hand, Street 150 gets 150cc single cylinder engine which produces 14.5 PS of power and 12.5 Nm of torque. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear. We wait eagerly for the updates Bajaj gives to the new Avenger for 2018.
